Totally agree. Companies that manage to survive more than a few decades need to adapt. Usually, this means trying a variety of things to see what works. Eventually, the company may choose to split a certain department into a separate company. When that happens, it usually gets a very distinct name. HP just decided to go with a very confusing way to name those two companies that are supposed to be completely separate.
