@isagalaev @Mer__edith @signalapp The vast majority of my personal circle is on Telegram because it's not Meta/Google and it's "open source". I've watched the software start to rot over the last 3 years especially. A shift toward shoving crypto down our throats, features getting pay walled, new features behind the same pay wall, advertising, etc.
Sadly for myself it's nearly time to throw telegram out with the rest.

@trevdev my biggest concern with it is that its likely directly controlled by Russian FSB? It's not something you can ever prove, but so many little things over the years point to that.
