Extremely happy, excited, and proud after participating in my first MUN. Despite not having much time to prepare, it was great to have the opportunity to emulate representing the country of Romania in an European Council simulation on a complex topic like humanitarian aid, exchanging some words with the French Ambassador to Belgium, and meeting lots of new interesting people!
(And ended up winning one of three prizes :D)
Definitely a great experience to experiment and, to some extent, develop diplomatic skills… finding majorities, building blocs, leading and collaborating with leaders…

It was extremely difficult to balance all points, especially given that at some point I was in the position of "bridge" between two juxtaposed positions. It is definitely be overwhelming to receive notes every 10 seconds while listening to speeches, thinking of your next speech, engaging and thinking of your next step, calculating your words to make sure majorities are formed and diplomatic relationa are not destroyed… might write a weblog about this in the future :)
