I’m taking a proper vacation. But when I’m back, we’re going to make a plan to harden accessibility practitioners against the unethical, antithetical, and extortionist practices in the industry. Driven by the “AI” hype and the relentless ableism inside and outside the industry, accessibility is seen as more of a nuisance than ever before instead of the right that it should be. (1/5)

We can no longer just let this happen. We have to be true to our values and to our humanity. We have to identify and speak up against the extortionist systems that pit us against each other. Enough is enough. Accessibility is a right and a creative challenge. It’s a challenge that anyone and everyone needs to be held accountable to. Because the inertia of ableism otherwise slides you back into being discriminatory. (2/5)
