I think the Volvo V8's were fully designed and manufactured by Yamaha?
Making boutique engines is sort of their thing. See also Ford Taurus SHO models.

Wouldn't be surprised, I knew the heads were Yamaha but maybe the whole engine was. Man I would beat the daylights out of one of those.
