50% of oil demand is on-road applications. That can all come right off the top, batteries are good enough at this point.
Probably half of "residential / commercial" will probably go away as heat pumps become cheaper than alternatives.
Aviation and agriculture are very hard to replace, and petrochemicals there's just no point, so those are the most sticky ones.

@cjd@pkteerium.xyz i was going to say, i dont think they'll be able to replace oil entirely, but if their electric infrastructure can hold it, they could probably get lots of people on EVs
