THERE. I have installed a "focus mode"/"experimentation platform" laptop on Arch (I haven't run arch in... years, possibly a decade??); it boots with wifi, a half-configured Sway and the correct keyboard layout, and that's going to be good enough for today. Bit of a fight to get it to boot (I don't know how computers boot anymore. I never really KNEW, but now I *really* don't know), but that's mostly on me - I had skipped the beginning of the https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_boot_process page, which actually explained many things. The ArchLinux wiki is still *delightful*, and it's fantastic documentation - but one has to actually read it :D
