@Deglassco My family was friends with Anselme Remy, a Haitian scholar who worked to try to free Haiti from these pernicious U.S. interferences. We were close while he was in the U.S., but after he returned to Haiti, though we were in touch up to the events you described, since then it’s been hard to find out anything.
