@brianokken @tacaswell @mpirnat there is a flip side to this, a lot more STEM discoveries would be made if engineers were more willing to experiment with more complicated math, and move away from just basic algebra (this view is from the perspective of the mechanical engineering field).

@ogi @tacaswell @mpirnat I think both sides are true. Encourage more people to advance further in math and others to advance in their fields without the math gate.
