@brianokken @tacaswell @mpirnat I have never had to do integration by parts lol, but the common vector calculus stuff (cross products and dot products) keep coming up all the time for my pyqtgraph work. Linear algebra periodically sneaks in in random places. I would rarely say I _need_ those tools but having some familiarity has really set me apart from peers who are more …math reluctant.
In terms of how much pre-calculus I use? Lmao almost none, although I suppose with all that grinding I have developed a bit of a sense where there is a trig identity that I can use to simplify my life

@ogi @tacaswell @mpirnat No doubt that math is super important. I just wish we taught people how it’s used and how to use it instead of testing people on hand calculations and memorization.
