First off, I’m HAPPY with the EU replaceable batteries legislation, but the number of people who are like “ha ha! This will get Apple, who screw people on batteries!”
C’mon y’all:
IPhone XS Pro Max ($999 new, 8 year old phone)
Apple replacement: $89
iFixit battery: $34
That’s what, $55 labor?

To be clear here; I’m someone who yelled bloody murder when they killed the G4 towers, which was pretty much the beginning of the end for expandable, upgradeable machines from Apple* BUT, 95% of the hundreds of G3/G4 towers I personally have pulled out of client sites…had never been upgraded…at all
