That's another, longer story, but flying into Kathmandu was weird - I was on the ground maybe a half hour and ran into friends from home. I was delirious from the 48 hours of no-sleep traveling and just said "hey good to see you" and kept walking. Ran into them again three times before we started hanging out. And ALSO an ex just happened to show up in Kathmandu as soon as I got back into the city from the mountains. It's not an easy country to find your way into. I spent the last week or two hanging out with friends and an ex from home. It's one of the more surreal things I've experienced.

  • When I moved to NYC from Alabama, I kept running into people I knew. It was weird. Made me wonder if this whole thing really is a simulation and we're actually all just in a big room, physically near each other, experiencing an open world video game that runs out of memory sometimes and recycles people from the past back into each others' simulation bubbles.
