@BenjaminNelan to put it super simply jirai is a term that was used to demean mentally ill women in Japan that has since been reclaimed! jirai is now a fashion and lifestyle subculture centered around mental illness and self destructive behaviors. the jirai community on tumblr has been experiencing what we're calling a 'rapture' where a lot of accounts are getting termed and banned so a lot of us moved here to hopefully not experience that again
