Hey hi reminder that unless ur USING IT TO DESCRIBE SOMETHING POSITIVE, & unless u are a person with intellectual disability (also called "learning disability" in the UK, but does not refer to what the US considers that term to mean),
You cannot "reclaim" the R-word.
It has only ever had a negative history & unless you urself reading this have intellectual disability, the disability the word exclusively referred to until its updated name change, & u urself are using it to highlight positive attributes: that is not reclamation. U are just saying slurs.

"Oh but im autistic and ive been called that!" & im sorry that happened to you! That's horrific & i hate that that happened to you. But the reason the R word is an insult is because u was being compared to people with autism who have intellectual disability. Your proximity to them by way of y'all both being autistic is what made it an insult. So, no. You cannot say "oh I'm so R-worded lol I forgot xyz means xyz" & argue that's reclamation. U don't know what the fuck reclaiming anything means, bc I ONLY EVER SEE WHITE FOLKS DOING THIS. We have got to get it together come the fuck on
