@rosaaeterna @sleepybisexual That's fair. I'm autistic and often frustrate people with insistence on little details as well.
I just have little patience for this topic because it's so obvious to me that it's a slur, and talking about that with Americans feels like pulling teeth sometimes.

I can especially imagine having little patience for it if you see people using it casually often, and especially if you've ever been called it yourself before. And I will agree, conversing with some of the Americans out there is definitely like pulling teeth. The complete absence of empathy is horrific and astonishing, as well as the stubbornness to hold onto something even when it hurts people. And given the politics at the moment... that can get rather frightening, especially as any form of minority, whether it be religious, LGBTQ+, racial, or anything else.
