@IceWolf hm, that's an interesting thought. I think I could, but I close and open documents a lot so I don't want something that will leave your reference images all piled on top of each other whenever you open the doc. There are a number of ways I can think of around that problem, I'll have to test them and see what works well. It's possible saving just won't be a problem. Or maybe when you pin, I also save the pre-pinned transform?

@foxyoreos I mean if you do the transform on open it shouldn't be a problem right? ...at least I'm assuming this is a type of layer you just want pinned to screen at all times? I don't want spurious stuff depending on zoom/pan in the file at ALL, I already don't like the existence of random UUIDs and "layer4" naming that doesn't match the layer names, but those at least don't randomly change on you depending on where you were looking when you hit save

@IceWolf I do plan to add some kind of "unpin everything" toggle in case you end up somehow managing to get a pinned image offscreen. But ultimately I'm just gonna need to play with it and see what can cause it to get messed up. The worst thing that can happen with this I think is "losing" a reference image or needing to delete and re-add it. So I can think of a number of safety things I could add to just make that really hard to do.
