@Altair@social.diachron.net Thank you! I actually still think itd be nice to get a prebuilt handheld someday because of the weight distribution: phones are heavier than controllers. Plus i cant just slip the whole thing in my pocket, and its annoying how android likes to pop stuff on screen even in do-not-disturb mode. but: its cheaper and its good enough! some games run well in GameNative yeah! others not at all. and many "work" but not with the supplied config; the most important setting to tweak is "graphics driver version." currently their "compatibility" site is poorly filtered, so its hard to tell whats actually compatible and what was tested on a completely different device. for a lot of games this is a non-issue because i can just stream them from the pc on my local network. but its very nice that it works with Rhythm Doctor, where extra delay would be really frustrating otherwise! it works with Balatro but stutters if Steamodded is installed, so streaming is better if you want mods for that game. it doesnt work with Slay the Spire 2 at all, but there's a separate hack for that called StS2Launcher which does work. I havent tried as many older games honestly. I bet A Hat in Time would work. I never did finish that one. My most-played games on this are via retroarch, most notably the indie roms "Walfie's Nonograms" (gb) and "Lingword" (wasm4).
