@mkj@social.mkj.earth Thats something I assumed. Im looking through the information for mdadm, but didnt see anything related to pre-existing partitions yet

@nyovaya@transfem.social I *think* specifically Linux mdadm uses on-volume storage for the RAID metadata, in which case it would certainly be harder to graft an existing partition into a RAID array.
