there is something really nice about showering with someone, outside of the sexual and adjacent stuff. taking this activity you'd usually have to do in complete solitude and getting to share it with someone you like. you're quite literally stripped of anything superficial; no clothes, no accessories, no makeup, and not even having your hairstyle properly. it's just your body, exposed as it is, save for some permanent things like tattoos or some piercings. it's not only a moment of care for your body, it's also a vulnerable state, and being able to trust someone enough to let them into that and having them let you into theirs is amazing. letting someone see you like that, and trusting that they will still love you regardless, and then when they do, it shows that they truly care about you for who you are. idk, it's late and words are hard. but i really fucking miss showering with my gf and i wanted to write something about the feeling.
