Yeah, so I&#39;m never posting anti-AI thoughts to my blog ever again. A post I made yesterday ended up gaining WAY more traction than I ever thought it would after it got shared to HN. While it generated some good discussion, it also led to some pretty nasty comments/personal attacks and retaliatory behaviour. It&#39;s at times like these when I feel like retreating from the internet altogether. The #SmallWeb is supposed to be a refuge, but all it takes is one link share on a big site to ruin that.

@st3phvee@mastodon.social never ever listen to the orange site when it comes to stuff like this Please take care, sometimes humans do more damage than those silly bots I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts out there, I hope you can keep doing so, but mental health comes first. You are awesome!

@st3phvee@mastodon.social I'm so sorry that happened to you. No one should be subjected to nasty comments, personal attacks, etc. As an anti-AI person I was looking forward to reading your post, but you'd (understandably) removed it by the time I looked for it.

@st3phvee@mastodon.social but in some ways there are goods. I was able to find your site and this quite deep thinker in this corner of the internet. Didn't end up reading the actual article but still, I am browsing and inspired by this little place on the internet. 🙏 🙇
