I hope you're able to focus on the wonderful memories from the past and can see beyond the future absence. He is in your heart, so will always be with you. Listen for his voice in your mind when you need to feel that connection.
My mom passed last Jan, and I hear her all the time. "Well, you could do that, but there may be a better way." And she's right as always.

@shertson@mastodon.world This is excellent advice and I so appreciate it. There are so many memories. I will miss him so much, though, particularly when I go out with the camera at dawn as he always went with me. I'm sorry about your mom. I'm glad you've been able to hear your mom. I feel like that is something that I'll be able to hear from dad.
