But today, I received a reply to my "Change Address" query. Some human being looked at what I had provided, said, "That isn't what is needed to change address," and sent me boilerplate for what was needed: a tax residency certificate from Finanças with my current address on it.

As it happens, I have one of these, from a year ago, but I also tried to generate one more recently, and it also has my old address on it. I put in a "Change Address" request to Finanças, and got back similar boilerplate, saying what was needed was a residency card with my current address on it. In other words, both AIMA and Finanças require something from each other to make an address change.
