The industry wants to turn the browser into a concierge between you and the web, interpreting and filtering your reality. They call it delegation - I call it a loss of agency. A browser should be a tool you wield, not something that makes decisions for you. @arstechnica@mastodon.social maybe worth mentioning us as an alternative ;)

@Waterfox@mastodon.social @arstechnica@mastodon.social I've used waterfox for years. Runs the addons my usage patterns need, so it's been a lifesaver ever since Firefox went and ruined itself. (Only exception is an RSS feed reader integrated into bookmarks like Firefox had. I still miss that. Would be magnificent if Waterfox resurrected that.)
