@jrconlin Fully agree, J-R. The parallel I went through was desktop publishing. We lost a lot of the old typesetters, masters at their craft. A lot of weird grunge fonts came out around the same time. By even as early as the mid-1990s though, a lot of us in font development were trying to broaden what fonts could do to bring a lot of the craft back. We always wanted those higher standards, and the grunge phase was fleeting. Typesetting changed, but we always needed those old experts.
