@GustavinoBevilacqua there is a righteous concern about companies roping in children and harming them for profit. I recognize it from knowing the kind of drug dealer that hit up struggling kids with free samples when the kids were most vulnerable to get a customer for life. But they didn't get to advertise their IPOs or lobby Congress.

@quinn @GustavinoBevilacqua with that in mind, I'd say pretty much *anything else* we do to protect kids from these corporations (and other bad actors online) would have the added benefit of protecting adults, too. Most of the ways kids can get hurt and used online are happening to people of all ages, and we all deserve protection from it. Just shunning kids protects no one, not even the kids because they'll just find ways around it because they feel left out of the torment nexus adults frequent
