I feel like the FediVerse is a lot like a bunch of community gardens. Not everyone is sharing the same garden, which is fine, but each of us contributes to at least one. You have the most fun here by planting your own favorite crops in the garden, helping others tend to theirs, sharing gardening advice, and just hanging out talking to the other gardeners. Some people come here thinking that they can run a whole garden by themselves, or that their community garden is gonna turn into a commercial farm, but a community garden just isn't designed to profit and your neighbors are gonna think you're weird for trying. Idk chat, is this anything?
