@glowl now that we think of it, it probably is the nicest machine that is just a sewing machine you can put on a table and put away afterwards, all the better ones were (semi-)professional units with under table drive and even those came with some limitations the Elna doesn't have

@glowl guess it is time to learn gear cutting at some point and make replacements for the plastic gears in the drive train as that is their common failure mode (usually the nylon gears becoming brittle due to someone over oiling the machine, not realising what the oil getting on the drive gears does)
