I just tried to explain to my husband that one of the reasons why I love knitting so much and why it feels so natural to me is that it's not just creative, it also appeals to the analytical / systems thinking part of my brain. And then I gave the example of how the knitting pattern I'm using is somewhat badly written (no shade, it's fine, it's a free pattern): “like very verbose code, basically written out line by line instead of refactoring it with if statements and while loops” 😂 😂 😂
