@halva I know in the modern era it has been the inspiration for various "zombie" fiction, like the green flu in Left 4 Dead or the rage virus in 28 days later. I only quote zombies because they're not the traditional zombies of mythology but they're often considered such in both pop culture and the in-universe lore
