@benroyce I really hope it's just hubris. There are much more grim explanations on why many world leaders lately are behaving 'strange' to put it mildly.

@CosmicCactus Well both. When I say "hubris" i'm not referring to a specific personality but the personalities of a system that let their guard down against letting in these sort of dark characters you refer to. Everything from rotten institutions to a general population that stops caring. That sort of "hubris." People just stop trying
