To prompt LLMs successfully it seems you need redundant details, escalating emphasis and other forms of repetition. This goes against the well-know DRY principle (Don't Repeat Yourself). So instead remember CLAMMY: Claude Loses All Memory Mid-Yap.

    @nedbat@hachyderm.io I don't mean to come like "Hey you're holding it wrong!" but I find this problem bites me much less when I use the Plan mode for implementations of any real complexity. Have it generate a detailed PLAN.md first. This also serves to help your potential future reviewer understand the intent behind your change if the line count gets larger than is usual comfortable.
