@esoastronomy This makes me think of Mauna Loa Observatory on Hawaii (currently closed as far as I know). The road partway up was covered in a lava flow in 2023 (I think it was) and there were also electrical lines which were similarly disrupted. A location like that - remote from other infrastructure - seems natural for an off-grid photovoltaic/battery system.
