@Sarahw @suearcher I have always loved the narrator's voice. One of those small childhood memories. From a time when children's animations were gentle and thoughtful. When my firstborn encountered "Brannmann Sam" here on the NRK we bought a secondhand set of the English language DVDs. This was partly as we wanted them to grow up bilingual. I think we got the first four of the original series. Also gentle, thoughtful depictions of characters and places that might actually have existed.
