@davemosk @Niall @phil_stevens Individual, distributed action will never be enough to counter this stuff. Collective, concerted action is necessary, whether channeled through a government or some other form of human organization. Precisely because it is not a level playing field. Me individually choosing to drive an EV, or to not subscribe to Netflix or Amazon isn't going to meaningfully move the needle. It's me living my own values, sure, but it will never make a difference to these massive entrenched interests. To @Niall 's point, in many ways big and small there's literally no way to live in the modern world (go to work, have access to telecommunications, eat) and individually act against them.
