@LexYeen @AlisonW @grote it's a crime in Massachusetts. $1 fine. they double it for the 4th and subsequent violations within a 1-year window. my city has decided not to enforce it, because you'll never guess how enforcement of it went (for this and other things that hurt their fee-fees, the police are big mad and won't enforce anything involving motor vehicles)
