i finished the forever war by joe haldeman last night, immediately started forever peace, but after 29 years away, i misremembered the book! i thought it took place on a colony world but nope central american jungle warfare. sooooo good though! #books #bookstodon #scifi

@scottrossi@mastodon.social I read the Forever War last year, yeah I'm late getting to it! I was amazed by all the social stuff often absent from Sci-Fi. e.g. the heterophobic society stood out as an idea. A lot of it must have been fairly radical at the time it was written. I should return to his other work. But, I like a bit of chaotic variety in my reading habits.
