I never had "Bergman filtered through clown and drag" on my bingo card for synthesis on this topic, but here we are. I don't think even a couple of years ago I'd have appreciated the visual language choices here as fully as now. Considering posting to Mastodon leaves me wondering if we'll get to the point of doing full written breakdowns of visual work like this for wider accessibility at some point, and the kind of artistic movement that translation effort would create, too.
