@hwll I've been stricken by how many people I would have expected to be attentive to it just don't bother. People for whom it wasn't a challenge, financially or transport wise, with animals who have never been vaccinated (ever-vaccinated is still a leg up on never; protocols are different if they've ever in their lives been vaccinated for rabies, for instance.) Awful, awful shit ensued. Of course there are people for whom it's difficult to access physically or afford, too. I appreciate the efforts of our local low-cost clinics to keep it within reach for folks so much.
