@spacelizard perfect! they figured out that we can't use the infinite growth model of capitalism anymore, so we just have to be infinitely dependent upon things that are awful and constantly have to be replaced with ever-stupider, less dependable, less repairable objects, enabling a new kind of endless cycle

@geckzilla Don't get me started. So many categories of product where it is literally impossible to buy anything that is genuinely good quality, at any price point. Everything is (at least) a bit shit, it's very annoying, and it's all very deliberate.
