@PeryleneBleu (this is something that I accidentally learned a lot of people actually do ! And it is, in fact, why the antiseptic I use for my Flesh Eating Monster has a warning telling people to throw away the entire bottle after 15 days of it being open. Which I was doing religiously, until the pharmacist explained that it's because people were dipping their wounds directly in it... hence the short shelf life. But since I use compresses, she said I can keep it open for longer)
