@bmcd@wizard.casa It’s just how my brain sees it. Some things are just wrong. They are sins. Other things seem to transgress a law without being inherently wrong.
In the Law of Moses there were certain foods the Lord commanded not to be eaten. To eat them would be to transgress that law. In my mind, the thing that was wrong *by its very nature* wasn’t the eating of that food (it’s ok to eat it now), but rebellion against God.

@ellane@pkm.social @badbede@deacon.social Gotcha. Let's be careful not to make distinctions between biblical words that do not exist in the Word nor to give them senses that the evidence cannot bear.

@ellane I'm not sure the words are the correct ones, but I see your point. Maybe a better example would be "Do not eat the fruit of this tree." There was nothing really wrong about the fruit that we know of, but the act itself would be rebellion. @bmcd
