The bookmark count goes up quickly when you often buy books from local authors on your favourite fantasy fairs! (Where in this case 'local' means Dutch) Very often they'll include a bookmark matching the book, and often enough when the are there together with other authors under the same publisher, which is always the case for the not self-published authors there, they will throw in some bookmarks from other books there as well! Thus I have quite some doubles! And sometimes when an author has gone through all of their bookmarks they even apologise for not having one anymore! And then, when you buy a book at a physical bookshop or a second hand bookshop, you often receive a bookmark of them as well!
