@Extra_Special_Carbon @feff I am also a newbie and for what I can tell is that wine makes it possible to run software that does not has native support in linux but does for windows. So you use Wine to create an enviroment that the .exe installer (a windows format) would work and launch. There is another called Bottles. There are some tutorials /manuals rldepending of the program you want to run.
