@gabriel @Extra_Special_Carbon
I have relied a lot on WineHQ's AppDB entries, Bugzilla, and usually just some time searching for error messages + winehq + program name with the time limited to 'in the last year'
Wanesty's guide to getting Affinty to work on Linux (https://affinity.liz.pet/v1/1-intro/) has given me some ideas of things to try via winetricks for others (like getting vcrun2022, dotnet35, dxvk, vkd3d as a base), but a lot of it is down to experimentation.
And if all else fails, I usually try the Virtual Desktop mode - which can fix a lot of graphical glitches.
Often if the software developer has been so kind to outline all the unusual dependencies, that can help figure out which winetricks verbs to run.

@gabriel There are two programs I still have get to get working as intended: Paprika 3 - Although I haven't tried it with the latest dev version of WINE Voicemod - Which doesn't even get past the installer stage as whatever they used to build the installer causes radio buttons to freak out :D
