@timixretroplays As ex-OneNote user (2000+ notes) I can only say, export your notes and be done with OneNote. MS clearly doesn't give a damn about it. It's a program that should be awesome if it would just work and had the same feature set on each client (Mac, Win, web... made by different teams who don't talk to each other, I guess?) and weren't tethered to OneDrive.
