@tnt i used to program GALs 16v10 IIRC, direct on an S3 , not sure what the differences are/were. Maybe it's chip dependant ?

@Extelec I can't even find any reference saying S3 can program GAL at all :) But in either case they're not the same device so it's possible for one to need an adapter and the other not.
