Recently I went to the hospital for a surgery. It was scheduled for 0630 and they told me no food or drink after 1800 the previous night. I heeded that. At 1100 they told me they were cancelling the surgery. I said "does this mean I can have some water?" They laughed and brought me 28oz of ginger ale. It was delicious.
