No, they aren’t. One is freeing serfs in a region that’s been part of your country for 200 years and then living peacefully with the world afterwards. The other is waging campaigns of violence and death, covert and overt, across every continent in the world, overthrowing democratically elected leaders in favor of autocrats who will sell out their country’s resources. There is absolutely no equivalence whatsoever.
