@carlton @adamchainz when the LTS is no longer supported... presumably, they upgrade. I don't see the difference. When they upgrade release by release, it's less painful. Brush your teeth, don't wait until you need to have a root canal 🤷‍♀️ But realistically, to make this change, we should do some kinda listening tour for the LTS to LTS folks and then show that release by release is not that much work. I am, of course, very biased because I want to use the new features asap 😅

@sarahboyce Yes! 💯 I love getting to use new features (even if they're not as earth-shattering as the changes in any given release of the latest fad web framework 😁) I DO typically wait for X.X.1 to update my projects, but I'm not waiting until X.2 comes around to enjoy some fresh #django! I wants it now!

@sarahboyce @carlton @adamchainz most of my govt and a few large enterprise clients want LTS releases so they can check a box on their procurement process. I think almost none of the projects I’ve done for them actually end up running an LTS, or if they do it’s not long til there is a reason to upgrade. It’s literally just a checkbox for their processes 🤷‍♂️😁
