Not only do I have two different generations of lacinato #kale going, but I noticed I must also have two different strains. The older set was grown from starts from the nursery and the younger set was grown from seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchage. The former are the typical lacinato kale you’d find at the grocery store. The latter has more tender, lighter green leaves with less of a tight curl. The website claims they are an OSSI variety. @gardening

@PermaSolarPotter @gardening I LOVE Southern Exposure Seed Exchange! I grew so many of their varieties when I lived in the east. (No doubt some would grow here in California but for various reasons our focus is more on natives and fruit trees at the moment)
